We wanted to let you know about a workshop we are organising to bring you La Rioja (the land of the wine) closer to home. We want you to know more about what is behind the name of one of the most famous wines in the world giving you insights into the creation process, the centuries of tradition, and the day to day of riojanos in their towns. Wine is a way of life in Spain for those who make it!

Our friends Estela and Eduardo will be with us on Sunday 1 February for a laid-back chat on their Bodegas and their community. We won't get too technical: it's more a friendly gathering for those of us who love Rioja wine and Spain in general (if you don't drink wine, you are still invited to join us! This region of Spain is fascinating).
The 11am session will be conducted mainly in English whereas the 1pm session will be fully in Spanish. We will talk about that area of Spain is different from others you might be more familiar with, play some games to bring the vineyards closer to home, and try 2 of Bodegas Lecea's most special wines. You will also receive more information about the field trips we are organising together and how to book (if you are a VamosGlasgow member, start saving some of your days off for this!).
